Growth response of Oryza sativa seedlings to graphene oxide and its variability among genotypes

چکیده
With the extensive utilization of graphene nanomaterials, they inevitably enter our environment. The potential phytotoxicity and environmental impact oxide (GO) have recently attracted much attention. We designed experiment based on seed germination, seedling morphology, physio-biochemical properties, antioxidant enzyme activities five rice genotypes (9311, MH63, R527, K866, Nipponbare) under six concentrations GO (0, 5, 10, 50, 100, 150 mg dm-3). studied effects different germination index (GI), shoot length (SL) root (RL), adventitious number, fresh masses, root/shoot ratio, chlorophyll (Chl) content, malondialdehyde superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD). Graphene treatments significantly enhanced growth inhibited all genotypes. Furthermore, we found a significant genotype-dependent response to treatments. According relative increment trend GI, SL, RL, (CAT, POD, SOD), Chl 'R527' showed more tolerance than other four 'MH63' 'K866' were sensitive 'Nipponbare' '9311'. It indicates that GO-tolerant genotype might avoid free radicals damage from by increased activities. Moreover, should consider differences when evaluating risk ecosystems.

Growth and yield response of potato genotypes to deficit irrigation
In Ardabil region potato crop needs several irrigation, however ground water supplies arebeing exhausted due to reduced precipitation and intensive irrigation. In this research droughttolerance of 10 commercial potato cultivars was studied at three irrigation treatments (100%,80% and 60% of required irrigation water) in Ardabil in a two years field study, 2013-2014.At harvest, marketable tuber ...
متن کاملGibberellins regulate iron deficiency-response by influencing iron transport and translocation in rice seedlings (Oryza sativa).
Background and aims Gibberellins (GAs) are a class of plant hormones with diverse functions. However, there has been little information on the role of GAs in response to plant nutrient deficiency. Methods To evaluate the roles of GAs in regulation of Fe homeostasis, the effects of GA on Fe accumulation and Fe translocation in rice seedlings were investigated using wild-type, a rice mutant ( e...
متن کاملEthylene-Induced Inhibition of Root Growth Requires Abscisic Acid Function in Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Seedlings
Ethylene and abscisic acid (ABA) have a complicated interplay in many developmental processes. Their interaction in rice is largely unclear. Here, we characterized a rice ethylene-response mutant mhz4, which exhibited reduced ethylene-response in roots but enhanced ethylene-response in coleoptiles of etiolated seedlings. MHZ4 was identified through map-based cloning and encoded a chloroplast-lo...
متن کاملRice (Oryza sativa) response to drift rates of glyphosate.
Greenhouse and field studies were conducted to investigate response of two rice varieties, Priscilla and Cocodrie, to sub-lethal rates of glyphosate in terms of injury, shikimate accumulation and yield. In the greenhouse, more shikimate accumulated in Cocodrie than Priscilla at comparable glyphosate rates applied to plants at the three-leaf stage. In field studies, glyphosate was applied to bot...
